How can a country music icon use her iconicity to fight against the lack of educational access in America?
Insight
Limitless Inclusivity: Dolly Parton is known to have a strict separation between her personal beliefs, and career in order to not alienate her broad array of fans. Dolly’s concerts are often known to be a melting pot as fans of all different races and identities come together to show her some love.
Action over words: Although she is not privy to speak on her personal beliefs, Dolly’s stances in life show through her philanthropic efforts as she uses her fame and fortune to create educational opportunities for children of low-income backgrounds.
Unity and Respect: Throughout all her works, Dolly champions diversity and mutual respect. Her work has led to an environment where those with opposing philosophies can co-mingle.

Parton Me is an interactive exhibit space where viewers are enchanted by the life and ongoing legacy of Dolly Parton. Through her goodwill and kindred spirit, the exhibit’s goal is to encourage visitors to donate to the Dollywood Foundation, further expanding educational opportunities for Tennessee students.

Inspired by Dolly’s favorite animal, the butterfly, the experience flow pulls from the ideas of metamorphosis and the butterfly effect.
